TRADE RATIONALE
As I feared, we got a strong negative reaction to today’s Fed interest rate bump even though everyone knew it was coming. I don’t know how this will all play out over the next couple of weeks, but I am putting the brakes on our position in Delphi Automotive after getting a great ride in this stock over the past six weeks. My IDEAL Stock Rating System correctly identified DLPH as a Ford about to turn into a Ferrari, and our 73% annualized gain proves it! I hope you were able to take this trip with us?

NOTE: As I promised last week, I will have two new buy alerts for you tomorrow. One will be issued at 8:30 a.m., and the other will be issued later in the day once I see how the market opens so please be on the lookout for them.

I got out last week because of a lesson I learned from Black Arrow. On Banco Macro, he got out early after it hit the target return and I stayed for the ride and had a small loss in the long run.

So when my DLPH crossed the 100%+ annualized return, I sold at 71.87.

Sold DLPH170317C60 for $10.7 giving a 50 day net return of 51.14% (an annual return of 373%!)

JIm do I put in the limit sell at $49.00 a share on KSS ahead of time like my $37.00 stop? Or do I wait till it gets there?

Hi Gerald,I don’t know the steps you have taken all along; so on account of that you did buy it correct? You would not have to be in a huge hurry since it will take a while to move. It would be a dream come true if we entered the trade and it took off on Turbo, but typically it takes awhile; so don’t stress on it.
For educational purposes and I don’t know what broker you use , but you could ask about if they have OCO trades. It stands for one cancels other. Basically its an order that says to sell limit price if it reaches 49 or also sell if prices drops to 37.00. Oh just an organizational thing if talkiness they like it if you put it under KSS alert.

You folks know what Yogi Berra said, ” Its not over til its over…” Just yesterday I read a mkt message from will not name him or get into details; just say DLPH is on the verge of a Bullish Breakout through resistance it is aided by a strong automotive group.

I am not being contradictory to our leader Jim, whom I respect, only giving some helpful info to anyone who may be interested, and may want to keep motoring along.

DETROIT, Feb 2 (Reuters) – Delphi Automotive Plc’s fourth-quarter earnings widely beat Wall Street expectations, as the automotive supplier continued to benefit from automaker interest as it helps develop technology in the evolution toward self-driving vehicles.

Delphi reported a fourth-quarter profit of $1.83 per share, excluding one-time items, versus expectations of $1.60 per share by analysts polled by Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

I mentioned there may well be a breakout to the upside, on DLPH. This has occurred this AM therefore I have entered a position.
