It seldom works out this neatly, but one day before our target holding period for Facebook is due to expire the stock hit our target price of $157, so we’re closing out this position and booking a nifty 12% gain in three months for a 48% annualized return. Let’s see how many ‘likes’ we can get for this trade!

I also went the option route and bought the $140 Sep Calls at 8.62 on Apr 13. I also lowered my investment by selling a put credit spread for Sep with strikes of 120/130 for a $2.13 CR, so my basis is $6.49.

I am choosing to stay in, even though my gain at last trade of $20.45 is 181.4%. I understand why Jim is selling giving that this is the end of the period, But I think there is more upside and am willing to let anyone say I told you so, if FB craters.

Nice! VectorVest still has FB rated as a buy and puts a value of $187.22 on it.

I sold today for 174.67 even though my limit was 166.50 (it opened way above yesterday’s close). Pretty superb profit, even if there is more upside, I am happy with 34.87 per share in less than 4 months.Thanks Jim!
