Sell Alert: LeMaitre Vascular (LMAT)

TRADE RATIONALE

We are bailing out of LeMaitre Vascular a month early to protect our gain given recent technical weakness in this stock. LMAT appears to be trending down towards its 50DMA after bouncing off its upper Bollinger Band a few weeks ago and is beginning to show signs of downward momentum so I think it’s time to take the money and run while it is trading up with the rest of the market this morning.

We have come close to achieving our target return of 20% on an absolute basis (+17% as of yesterday), and on annualized basis we still have a 100% return in this position so I want to lock that in while we can still have it.

NOTE: The last two weeks of December and first two weeks of January can get pretty messy due to portfolio managers engaging in window dressing, tax loss harvesting and other buy/sell decisions that have very little to do with a stock’s inherent value. For that reason I may be closing out a couple of other positions this month so you can enjoy the holidays knowing your gains are secure and you will have sufficient funds to pay off that big credit card bill in January!

Good call Jim. I got in a little lower price, so I did get 20%. Happy to wait for next buy.

Thanks, Jim.
SW is working very well for me: so far I’ve closed 3 SW trades (long call options) with a total return of 51.18%. Looking forward to your continued success with SW.

Yes Sir, Roger!
We’re right in there with ya on those comments. I’ve done very well with SW so far.
Hope to continue that trend into next year…and beyond.
I think Jim Pearce has done us a pretty darn good job.
It was a little rocky at first with getting the text alerts going, but I’m more than pleased with my investment results from this service.

Are you working on another recommendation to replace it?

Yes, may have one tomorrow morning depending on how market closes today. If not tomorrow, then Tuesday at the latest.
