We took profits on several trades last Friday, selling the Goldcorp April 41 call option for a gain of 5 percent, the Applied Materials April 16 call option for a profit of 11 percent and the Freeport Copper & Gold May 55 call option for a gain of 23 percent. Those gains occurred with holding periods of between three and seven days.   Today we also closed out our Avon Products April 28 put option for a 16 percent gain in less than two weeks.   Yesterday we added the Pan American Silver April 35 call option. Use a limit order to pay no more than $2.80 per contract. But we’re willing to hold our position in the Express Scripts May 60 call option heading up to the release of the company’s quarterly results on the 16th. With expectations relatively modest, if its profits just come in at the consensus level of 70 cents a share the stock could enjoy a nice bounce. The option is a buy at its current price. Read More
