Flash Alert: Closing the Short Trade
In VRI, 15 November 2007, Maintain Perspective,
we recommended shorting Aluminum Corp of
China (NYSE: ACH) as a hedge to our exposure to industrial metals markets.
Recently, we recommended lowering the stops to USD45. Today the stock traded at this level. As a result, you should have been stopped out for a gain of 20 percent (in two-and-a-half months).
Take the profit, and stay on the sidelines. We’ll suggest a new hedge position in the future.
